School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Chicopee, Massachusetts

This contract opportunity spans the 2026-2027 school year, supporting high school-aged students in a highly specialized environment. You’ll contribute to the Compass High Program—a setting designed for learners with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other unique needs, prioritizing individualized growth and fostering essential life skills in a supportive, non-traditional classroom.
Your week will be dedicated to working closely with students, collaborating with educators, and supervising a dedicated SLPA as part of a multidisciplinary team. As an essential resource, your experience with AAC devices will help bridge communication gaps and create lasting progress for students with distinct learning profiles.
What we’re seeking:
- Current state licensure and up-to-date credentials appropriate for a school-based SLP
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Prior experience within school settings, particularly with high school students
- Strong background using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices
- Commitment to supporting learners with Autism Spectrum Disorders or similar learning differences
- Ability to supervise and mentor SLPAs
- Enthusiasm for collaborative, individualized education approaches
Core responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments and developing customized therapy plans
- Delivering evidence-based interventions for diverse communication challenges
- Supervising and guiding an SLPA
- Progress monitoring, skill-building, and reporting
- Consulting with educational staff, families, and the larger team to ensure student success
- Promoting student independence in a supportive environment
