Speech Language Pathologist in Spencer, IN
An exciting contract opportunity awaits for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist with experience in the school setting. This role, conveniently located near Spencer, IN, is ideal for someone who thrives working with elementary-aged children and enjoys providing essential support to students across multiple school sites.
This assignment begins August 3rd, 2026 and concludes May 24, 2027, offering a consistent schedule of 18-21 hours per week across 3 to 5 days. You’ll work with a caseload of 30-50 students, primarily focusing on grades 2 and 3, though flexibility will be needed to support students of varying age ranges. Your onsite presence will be required at 2-3 school locations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Indiana Speech-Language Pathology license suitable for school-based services
- Experience with IEP development and implementation, including serving as Teacher of Record/Service (TOR/TOS)
- Familiarity with evaluating and reevaluating students following state and federal guidelines
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Previous school SLP experience preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services as specified in each student’s IEP
- Conduct assessments for new referrals and re-evaluations
- Act as Teacher of Record/Service for your caseload, running IEP meetings as needed
- Document student progress, maintaining accurate and timely records
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
