School Speech Language Pathologist - Hampton, Virginia

Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Current and valid state licensure or eligibility for SLP licensure
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong Clinical Fellows will be considered
- Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred
- Solid understanding of IEP documentation and compliance
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy sessions to students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, interpret results, and determine appropriate service recommendations
- Develop, update, and implement IEP goals according to students’ individual needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input to educators and families
- Maintain accurate and timely records, data, and progress notes in compliance with federal and state educational standards
- Consult and collaborate with school staff to support student learning and ensure appropriate accommodations
- Use a variety of evidence-based techniques and materials to engage students
