Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold a valid Speech-Language Pathology license in Virginia or eligible for temporary licensure
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Sciences
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellows considered
- Previous experience working with school-aged children or within a school setting is a plus
- Ability to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments, identifying students’ speech and language needs
- Develop, implement, and revise IEPs in partnership with parents and multidisciplinary teams
- Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to support student outcomes
- Participate in school meetings, professional development, and ongoing training sessions
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere for all students
