Key Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) licensure for schools.
- Previous school-based SLP experience or strong internship in a similar setting.
- Experience or keen interest in adaptive, self-contained, or behavioral learning environments is highly valued.
- Ability to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and track student progress.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to supporting a positive and productive classroom environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students within the ABLE program.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver tailored therapy.
- Develop and implement effective interventions and strategies specific to each student’s IEP.
- Document student progress and contribute to case conferences and IEP meetings.
- Provide resources and support for teaching staff regarding communication strategies and classroom accommodations.
- Advocate continuously for student needs and successes.
