Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students in an Adaptive Behavior Learning Environment (ABLE) program as a Speech-Language Pathologist. In this full-time, contract role, you’ll collaborate with educational professionals to empower students with communication needs, making a direct impact on their growth and confidence.

This position offers a structured schedule of 32.5 hours weekly, from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm (with a half-hour unpaid lunch break), and provides a consistent routine, perfect for professionals seeking meaningful work within schools.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) licensure for schools.
  • Previous school-based SLP experience or strong internship in a similar setting.
  • Experience or keen interest in adaptive, self-contained, or behavioral learning environments is highly valued.
  • Ability to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and track student progress.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to supporting a positive and productive classroom environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students within the ABLE program.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver tailored therapy.
  • Develop and implement effective interventions and strategies specific to each student’s IEP.
  • Document student progress and contribute to case conferences and IEP meetings.
  • Provide resources and support for teaching staff regarding communication strategies and classroom accommodations.
  • Advocate continuously for student needs and successes.
