Qualifications and Skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active state licensure in Vermont or eligibility to obtain
- ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship (CF) status required
- Experience or strong interest in working with pediatric and school-aged populations
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and time management abilities
- Proficiency in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for diverse learners
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop tailored therapy goals and implement evidence-based intervention strategies
- Document student progress, maintain compliance with special education regulations, and complete required paperwork
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to enhance student outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert guidance to interdisciplinary planning
- Provide consultation and education to staff and parents regarding communication disorders and classroom strategies
