To excel in this role, candidates should bring the following:
- Completion of a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Either ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) in progress
- Previous experience or strong interest in pediatric and school-based settings
- Ability to adapt to diverse student needs and collaborate with educators, families, and other support staff
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Providing comprehensive speech and language assessments and therapy for students of varying ages and abilities
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to students’ unique strengths and challenges
- Maintaining thorough progress documentation and contributing to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborating with teachers, counselors, and families to promote generalization of communication skills across school environments
- Participating in team meetings and professional development as needed
