School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Smyrna, Delaware
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP or CFY) supporting an exceptional student population onsite near Smyrna and Dover, DE. This full-time position offers 37.5 hours per week with three openings, giving you the chance to collaborate in a professional, specialized school setting. Your expertise will be a valued resource for students primarily in pre-kindergarten and elementary grades, but you may work with individuals up to 22 years old. Starting as soon as possible, you’ll continue through the Extended School Year (ESY) with a summer schedule of 30 hours weekly, and enjoy continuity into the 2026-2027 school year.
As part of a respected SPED environment, you’ll work closely with students who have Autism and those with moderate to low cognitive functioning. Your impact will extend far beyond articulation and language; you’ll empower students by addressing their unique communication needs.
What we’re looking for:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility in Delaware (SLP or Clinical Fellow)
- Experience working with pediatric and/or school-based populations
- Compassion, creativity, and patience in a dynamic environment
- Comfort working with students diagnosed with Autism and intellectual disabilities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators and families

- Conduct speech and language assessments, develop and implement IEPs
- Provide direct therapy to students from pre-K through young adults
- Document progress and partner with multidisciplinary teams
- Adapt strategies to meet the individual strengths and needs of each student
