School Speech Language Pathologist - Middletown, Delaware

Step into a rewarding role providing speech-language therapy services in a supportive special education environment. This contract position is perfect for dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists or Clinical Fellows eager to work onsite and make a difference for students across a wide age range, from preschool through young adults up to 22 years old. You’ll be part of a collaborative team, offering your skills and knowledge to children primarily in PK and elementary, though needs may extend to older students as well.
Your work will begin as soon as possible and continue through the Extended School Year (ESY) at 30 hours weekly, transitioning into the full 37.5 hours per week for the 2026-2027 school year. There are three positions available, each providing the chance to work closely with a diverse population of students, most diagnosed with autism and varying cognitive abilities.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (or equivalent)
- Active SLP state licensure or eligibility in Delaware; CFY candidates welcome
- Experience with special education populations, including autism and mid-to-low functioning students, is strongly preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students, families, and staff
- Able to commit to onsite, full-time hours
- Compassion, adaptability, and a problem-solving mindset
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, individualized, and group speech-language therapy to students onsite
- Create and implement effective IEPs, perform evaluations, and document progress
- Work closely with teachers, support staff, families, and other service providers
- Contribute expertise and advocacy within IEP meetings and collaborative planning sessions
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment where each child can thrive
