Pediatric School Speech Therapist | Sherwood, Arkansas

This contract position, based near Sherwood, AR, is ideal for dedicated SLPs—including those with their CCC or working toward their Clinical Fellowship Year—interested in gaining experience with a diverse, K-12 student population. Full-time hours are available, aligning with the academic calendar and starting in August. Work closely with supportive staff, including a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), to facilitate success in communication for every learner.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current or eligibility for Arkansas SLP licensure (SLP-CCC or CFY welcome)
- Experience or coursework in pediatric and school-based speech therapy
- Teletherapy familiarity considered a plus
- Comfortable collaborating with SLPAs and other support staff
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect speech-language services to K–12 students in school settings
- Develop, implement, and review individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Consult with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student goals
- Deliver services in-person, with teletherapy options as applicable
- Supervise and support assigned SLPA as needed
