School Speech Language Pathologist - Shelton, Washington
Unlock a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting early learners in an engaging educational environment. This full-time, on-site position begins August 24th (tentative) and focuses on making a positive difference in students’ lives at the Early Learning center. Work Monday through Friday for 37.5 hours per week, with student instructional hours from 9:10 am–4:00 pm, and staff reporting from 8:45 am–4:15 pm. Flexibility is required to accommodate evaluation meetings and IEPs, which may occur before or after the student day.
Your expertise will be pivotal in facilitating developmental growth for students in Preschool, providing itinerant services, participating in Child Find Evaluations, and potentially supporting Kindergarten transitions based on caseload. Wednesdays are designated as non-student days for Developmental Preschool, allowing time for planning and collaboration.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
- School-based experience preferred
- Familiarity with early learning environments and IEP development
- Strong communication, organization, and team collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language assessments
- Participate in evaluation and eligibility meetings
- Develop, attend, and help implement IEPs and service plans
- Serve students in developmental preschool and itinerant capacities
- Complete Child Find Evaluations
- Provide input and possible support for Kindergarten transition activities
- Document progress and maintain compliance with all district and state requirements
