Work closely with a diverse student population, helping young children reach critical milestones. The role includes collaborating with educators and families, delivering direct speech therapy services, and supporting early intervention initiatives. Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid Washington state license for SLP and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience or interest in working with preschool and early elementary students
- Solid knowledge of Child Find Evaluations, IEPs, and early intervention services
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Comfort with itinerant work and flexibility to support various programs, including developmental preschool and possible transition to kindergarten
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication evaluations for preschool-aged students
- Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Lead and participate in evaluation review meetings before or after student hours
- Provide direct and consultative therapy services onsite
- Coordinate services with teachers and multidisciplinary team members
- Offer itinerant and transition support as caseload needs dictate
- Engage with families to ensure understanding and participation in student progress
This position provides you with a full-time weekly schedule (Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours/week), focusing on student-centered schedules while balancing your professional commitments.
