Desired Qualifications:
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state license to practice as an SLP or eligibility to obtain
- Previous experience in pediatric or educational settings preferred
- Familiarity with IEP process and best practices in speech-language evaluation and therapy
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to partner with teachers, support staff, and families
- Commitment to culturally responsive therapy
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students in developmental preschool, itinerant services, and Early Learning programs
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations including Child Find and Transition to Kindergarten support, as caseload requires
- Participate in evaluation result meetings and lead the development and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEP)
- Schedule and attend meetings outside of regular student hours as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student goals
- Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to all state and federal regulations
- Adapt therapy delivery and intervention plans to meet diverse student needs
This position follows a full-time Monday through Friday schedule (37.5 hours per week), with the student day running from 9:10am to 4:00pm and staff hours from 8:45am to 4:15pm. Wednesdays are student-free for the developmental preschool, allowing time for planning and assessments.
