This full-time, contract opportunity begins in December and spans a 12-week period to cover a maternity leave. You’ll play a key role in helping young learners meet their communication goals while also having the chance to mentor and supervise a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Texas SLP license required
  • Clinical experience with pediatric populations
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; SLP-CFYs are welcome to apply
  • Previous school-based SLP experience strongly desired
  • Skilled in evaluating and providing interventions for a diverse student caseload
  • Experience supervising or mentoring support staff (SLPA) is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive speech-language evaluations, therapy, and consultative services for students
  • Supervise and guide the assigned SLPA, delegating tasks and offering professional support as needed
  • Develop and implement IEP goals in collaboration with educational team members and families
  • Monitor student progress, maintaining clear and accurate documentation in compliance with regulations
  • Foster open communication with teachers, parents, and school administrators
