This opportunity is an excellent fit for a Speech-Language Pathologist with expertise in school and pediatric settings. The assignment is a full-time, contract position beginning November 2nd, providing coverage for a maternity leave expected to last approximately 6–8 weeks. You’ll work with a caseload of 36 to 42 elementary-aged students, many of whom are on the autism spectrum or require life skills support.
Key Qualifications:
- Current SLP licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience in school-based and pediatric speech-language pathology
- Familiarity with providing services to students on the autism spectrum as well as those needing life skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and school staff
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Commitment to supporting each student’s growth in a positive, inclusive classroom environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to assigned elementary students
- Conduct assessments and interpret results to inform service recommendations
- Develop, monitor, and document progress on IEP goals
- Collaborate with special education teachers, paraprofessionals, and other support staff
- Provide guidance and resources to families on strategies to support speech-language development
- Maintain accurate records and prepare required reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
