Key Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist licensure and ASHA CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) required
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric environment strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of working with students on the Autism spectrum and those needing life skills support
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation abilities
- Dedication to inclusivity and patient-centered interventions within a multidisciplinary team
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language assessments for assigned elementary students
- Develop, implement, and document individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver targeted therapy sessions, both individual and small group, tailored to diverse learning needs
- Consult regularly with teachers, parents, and staff to ensure carryover of strategies in the classroom and at home
- Monitor and track progress, adapting therapy approaches as needed
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to meetings regarding student progress and planning
