You’ll have the chance to work across two engaging school settings, splitting your week between North Port High School (3 days) and Oak Park (2 days). Flexibility is available—candidates seeking part-time schedules are also encouraged to apply. This is an on-site only position.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Florida SLP license or eligibility for licensure
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) or eligibility to complete Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY)
- Previous experience working in educational settings preferred, though new graduates are welcome
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Compassion and enthusiasm for helping school-aged children succeed
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, and communication disorders to a diverse student caseload
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student progress
- Participate in team meetings and support school-wide initiatives
- Maintain thorough and organized records in compliance with state and district policies
- Engage students in creative, evidence-based interventions
- Regularly travel between North Port High and Oak Park in a pre-arranged, reliable schedule
