Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) for Speech-Language Pathology
- Previous experience working with children or adolescents in a school setting strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
- Collaborative spirit with the ability to contribute to a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, voice, or fluency disorders
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and maintain accurate documentation as required
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to address students’ unique needs and monitor progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute recommendations for student success
- Conduct screenings and evaluations in accordance with district and state procedures
- Provide consultation and training to staff and families regarding strategies to foster communication skills
