This contract-based opportunity is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC certification, ready to jump in and contribute immediately. The assignment starts as soon as possible and involves working with a dynamic caseload of approximately 40–50 students. Caseload numbers may be adjusted depending on whether the placement includes supervision of a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Valid California state license or eligibility
- Prior experience working in a school setting is highly valued
- Ability to effectively manage varied caseloads
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders for students
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with other educational professionals
- Document and track student progress in compliance with district and state requirements
- Provide guidance, mentorship, or supervision for SLPAs if needed
- Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities
