Desired Expertise and Credentials:
- Active California licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Previous schools-based SLP experience strongly preferred
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational abilities
- Ability to adapt to changing caseload needs and student requirements
- Experience or willingness to supervise SLPAs is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech/language needs
- Provide direct intervention individually and in groups as appropriate
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation for IEP meetings and progress tracking
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing staff development
- Offer support and possible supervision to SLPAs, as needed, depending on caseload composition
