Seeking speech-language pathology professionals interested in making a lasting impact within a supportive educational environment! Multiple full-time contract positions are available to support schools in the San Juan Capistrano area, serving students during planned leave of absences. Assignments may range from preschool to elementary and middle school settings, with the opportunity to continue through the full academic year likely.
In this valued role, you will:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students, addressing a broad spectrum of communication needs.
- Manage a caseload averaging 55 students, collaborating with parents, teachers, and other school staff.
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans in accordance with educational goals and best practices.
- Document progress, participate in IEP meetings, and ensure compliance with district and state regulations.
- Adapt interventions for different developmental levels and classroom environments.
- Be present on-site across one or more schools in San Juan Capistrano, depending on assignment.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
- Active California SLP license in good standing.
- School-based experience or knowledge of IEPs and educational therapy practices preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population across preschool, elementary, and middle school levels.
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
- Enthusiasm for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Contract details include placements starting this fall, with varying end dates and a strong possibility of extension to complete the school year due to ongoing needs.
