Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Valid (or eligibility for) California SLP licensure
- Previous experience providing therapy in school settings strongly preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to manage documentation requirements efficiently
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with a range of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop individualized education programs (IEPs) and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Deliver direct therapy sessions, both individually and in groups, tailored to student needs
- Monitor progress, maintain thorough records, and adjust interventions as necessary
- Communicate regularly with teachers, administrators, and families regarding student progress
- Educate staff and families about speech and language development, offering strategies for support
