This contract opportunity is suited for SLPs passionate about making an impact in special education, offering both a full-time ongoing role and a maternity leave position available ASAP through November 2026. You’ll work on-site with a caseload of 45-60 students, tailored by student needs, from September 1–June 6, 2027. Multiple SLP backgrounds, including those completing CFY, are welcome. If you secure your Minnesota license and teaching certification by September 1st, you can take advantage of this rewarding experience, even as a traveler.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid (or eligibility for) MN state SLP licensure and teaching certification by September 1
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates encouraged to apply
- Experience supporting pediatric or school-aged populations
- Background or interest in serving students with a range of disabilities, including those in Setting IV classrooms
- Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and flexibly within a team-oriented department
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to elementary students per IEPs
- Conduct assessments, develop goals, and document student progress
- Collaborate with SPED teams, teachers, and families to support student growth
- Provide therapy and support across varying levels of need, including highly structured environments (Setting IV)
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to student-centered planning
