Exciting opportunities await dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists seeking to make a meaningful impact in elementary school settings. These contract roles are available for both full-time and part-time schedules, offering flexibility to suit your career and lifestyle needs. Due to expanding special education services, this growing department is seeking SLPs to support two key needs: one new, long-term position, and one maternity leave coverage role, both serving elementary student populations on-site.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP license or eligibility for Minnesota licensure by September 1st (assistance available for travelers)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC), Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome
- Experience or genuine interest in working with pediatric and school-based populations
- Comfort with a caseload ranging from 45-60 students with a variety of disabilities, including some students served in Setting IV
- Familiarity with the unique needs of students in highly structured special education settings considered an asset
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language services, including direct therapy, evaluations, and assessments
- Develop and implement IEP goals in coordination with multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in accordance with school and regulatory standards
- Engage collaboratively with educators, families, and support staff to ensure student success
