Pediatric Speech and Language Pathologist - Minneapolis, MN
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners in a vibrant school setting near Minneapolis, MN. We're seeking dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists for both full-time and part-time roles, starting September 1 and continuing through June 6, 2027. Two positions are available: a permanent SLP to meet the rising needs within the Special Education department, and a maternity leave coverage position stretching through November 2026. Your expertise will directly impact elementary students, including those in Setting IV—a specialized environment supporting students who benefit from intensive special education and related services, delivered outside the general classroom for most of the school day.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Current or eligible Minnesota SLP licensure, with ability to obtain teaching certification by start date
- ASHA CCC required; CFY candidates encouraged to apply
- Experience or strong interest in working with pediatric, school-aged populations
- Knowledge of best practices in speech therapy within educational settings
- Comfort with moderate to severe disabilities, including working with Setting IV students
- Collaborative mindset and effective communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language evaluation, intervention, and consultation services in an elementary school environment
- Manage a caseload of 45–60 students, adapting services based on individualized needs
- Implement IEPs and maintain thorough documentation in compliance with state regulations
- Work in close partnership with special education staff, teachers, and families
- Utilize evidence-based practice to facilitate student progress toward communication goals
