Pediatric School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Irvine, California

Your expertise will help students access learning and participate fully in school life. The assignment serves a diverse caseload, providing both assessment and intervention in partnership with educators, families, and support staff.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Valid SLP-CCC or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligibility
- California SLP license or ability to obtain prior to start date
- Prior experience in school or pediatric settings preferred, but strong clinical skill and enthusiasm considered
- Comfort with evaluation tools, individualized education plans (IEPs), and progress documentation
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaborative skills
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students with varied needs
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address speech, language, social communication, and cognitive-linguistic goals
- Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with families and school staff
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Support teachers and families with resources and strategies to aid student success
- Supervise SLPAs or assist in the mentorship of Clinical Fellows, if eligible
