Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Saint Johns, FL
Make a difference by providing vital speech-language pathology services to students with autism across two supportive educational centers. This contract opportunity (30 hours per week) offers a rewarding environment where your expertise will help elementary through young adult students (ages elementary–22) reach their communication and social goals.
This position is based at two locations, serving diverse learners in both the Marklund Wasmond and Nathan Education Centers. You will play an essential role in the lives of students by delivering in-person, evidence-based speech therapy.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Current state Speech-Language Pathologist license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous experience in a school setting, ideally working with students on the autism spectrum
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability and enthusiasm for working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Proficient in developing and implementing individualized therapy plans and IEP goals
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, in-person therapy services to students with autism in compliance with IEP requirements
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication challenges
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate communication strategies in classroom settings
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions
- Actively participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and parent conferences
- Provide support and strategies for teachers and families to address communication needs
