School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Stuart, Florida
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity on the scenic Southeast Florida coast, supporting schools as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). This full-year position begins August 5, 2026, and runs through June 1, 2027, with flexibility for both full-term or split maternity leave coverage options across several local school campuses.
In this on-site role, you’ll work closely with diverse student populations ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade in engaging environments—primarily middle school, high school, and specialized ASD/EBD units. You’ll be part of collaborative teams at some sites, and at others, serve as the sole SLP, making a significant impact supporting students' communication needs. Assignments may include locations such as Port Saint Lucie and Fort Pierce, and flexibility to rotate is a plus.
Desired qualifications include:
- Current, active SLP license (CCC required)
- Previous experience in school-based settings is highly valued
- Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with ASD, EBD, InD units, or resource therapy is a plus
- Ability to work independently and adapt across multiple school locations
- Flexible and organized, able to manage time across 1-2 campuses
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive evaluations and writing IEPs
- Delivering direct and consultative therapy services (individual and small group)
- Supporting students in both general and special education settings
- Collaborating with teachers, staff, and parents to support students’ communication growth
- Maintaining compliance with state and district guidelines, including timely documentation
