Speech-Language Pathologist in Palmetto, FL
Step into a meaningful role supporting students by providing vital speech-language pathology services in a dynamic educational setting. This full-time opportunity is based on-site and offers a rich environment for both seasoned practitioners and new graduates starting their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY). Assignments are determined on a first-come, first-serve basis, providing variety and growth as you help students achieve important communication milestones.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Florida Speech-Language Pathologist license (Master’s degree required; exceptional candidates with qualifying bachelor’s degrees may be considered)
- Open to Clinical Fellows (CFY); SLPAs are not being accepted for this position
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with students, families, and school staff
- Flexibility to adapt to changing caseloads and assignment needs
- Experience in educational settings preferred, though not required
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech, language, and communication therapy services to a diverse school-based population
- Complete assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and monitor student progress
- Engage in collaboration with educators, administration, and families to maximize student outcomes
- Provide clear documentation and maintain compliance with all relevant guidelines and district procedures
- Actively contribute to school teams and ongoing student success initiatives
What Awaits: You’ll enjoy a contract role, working 37.5 hours per week throughout the school year in a supportive and engaged environment. Assignments span from August 10, 2026 to May 27, 2027, with exact school locations to be determined based on district needs and the order of assignment. Compensation for this impactful position ranges from $37–$50 per hour for SLPs with CCCs, and $30–$43 per hour for Clinical Fellows (CFY).
