School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Parrish, Florida
Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students and teams in a vibrant educational setting. This contract position begins as soon as possible and extends through May 2027, offering you the chance to make a lasting impact on students’ lives within a supportive school community.
In this full-time role, you’ll serve students at two dynamic campuses. At one location, you’ll work with a caseload of approximately 50 students receiving direct therapy, plus ten more on consult, many within specialized cognitive and behavioral support units. At the second site, you’ll collaborate with a seasoned SLP and a phenomenal SLPA, serving a diverse population that includes intensive and integrated PreK, ASD, and ESE classrooms, totaling around 95 students across all therapists to start.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Hold a Master's degree and an active Florida SLP license (CCC-SLP or CFY applicants welcome).
- Demonstrate experience or strong interest in school-based speech therapy.
- Comfortable working across various needs, including low incidence and behavioral populations.
- Skilled at collaborating with fellow clinicians and educators in a school setting.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal communication abilities.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, direct therapy, and consultative services to students with a variety of needs, from PreK through middle school.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to IEP goals.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and peers to maximize student outcomes.
- Maintain timely documentation and participate in IEP meetings as required.
