Step into a dynamic school-based setting as a Speech-Language Pathologist, working with stellar teams at Buffalo Creek Middle School and Prine Elementary. This full-time contract role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students from preschool through middle-school age. Beginning as soon as possible and extending through the end of the 2026-27 school year, you'll join supportive colleagues and contribute to vibrant special education programs.
What We're Looking For:
- Valid Florida SLP license at the Master's level (SLP-CCC or CFY)
- Experience providing speech-language services in school settings
- Strong clinical skills working with diverse student populations, including those in low cognitive, autism spectrum, and behavioral support units
- Ability to collaborate with other SLPs, SLPAs, and support staff
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation abilities
- Professional, reliable, and adaptable for an on-site position
Responsibilities & Role Highlights:
- Provide direct therapy to a caseload of approximately 50 students at Buffalo Creek (primarily 4 days per week), including low cognitive and behavioral units
- Consult with staff and provide support for an additional 10+ students as needed
- Manage speech services at Prine Elementary, partnering with a seasoned SLP and outstanding SLPA; caseload to begin at approximately 95 students across intensive PK, ASD, integrated PK, ESE PK, and low cognitive classrooms
- Develop and implement IEPs, track student progress, and maintain thorough records
- Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams
