School Speech Language Pathologist - Sarasota, FL
Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students and schools near Sarasota, FL as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). You'll play a vital role in helping children reach their communication goals within well-established school environments, starting August 10, 2026, and continuing through May 27, 2027. This is a full-time role, with guaranteed 35 hours per week, and on-site presence is essential at assigned campuses within the area.
Your placements may include serving students at Nolan Middle School and Manatee Elementary, with potential for other campus options based on district needs. Caseloads and specific responsibilities will vary and are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, offering a dynamic and responsive work environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Florida Speech-Language Pathologist license (Master’s level required)
- Open to candidates in their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience in school-based speech therapy or related pediatric settings
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Passion for supporting diverse student populations and fostering inclusive learning
Key Duties:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary staff to implement individualized plans
- Document progress and maintain timely records in line with school and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
- Adapt therapy approach based on student needs and goals
