School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Rosenberg, Texas
Step into a vital support role for students across Houston’s southwest side as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming academic year. This full-time, on-site contract opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful difference for middle and high school students by providing expert speech, language, and communication therapy services. Assignments will take ZIP code into consideration to ease commutes between campuses.
The position requires a full range of school SLP responsibilities, including therapy sessions, participation in ARD meetings, comprehensive evaluations, and collaboration with educational staff. Caseloads typically consist of 50-60 students in grades 6–8 and 10–12—with placement based on your preference for middle or high school age groups.
Successful candidates will have:
- Active and current Speech-Language Pathology licensure for the state of Texas and Florida (please include a photo of your license).
- Experience working with students in a school setting, preferably with middle and/or high school populations.
- Proficiency in providing therapy, assessments, and participating in ARDs.
- Strong communication skills for parent, teacher, and staff collaboration.
- Flexibility and organizational skills to balance caseload, paperwork, and meetings.
- Willingness to complete required fingerprint-based background clearance (may be expedited if already on file in the district).
