Pediatric School-Based SLP | Winston, Oregon
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 2026-2027 school year in the scenic Jackson County and Roseburg, Oregon area. This contract role involves working primarily in Early Childhood Special Education settings, serving children ages 3-5, with a starting average caseload of 35 students that typically grows to about 65 by year-end.
Responsibilities include providing direct speech therapy services, participating in Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs), and leading weekly speech groups (1x per week). The majority of services are delivered using a push-in consultation model averaging 40 minutes per month per student. Approximately 20% of the caseload consists of Spanish-speaking students, supported by bilingual instructional assistants focused on language and prep support. Supervision of up to three Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) is expected, with caseload adjustments based on supervision duties.
Key Qualifications:
- Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) credential valid in Oregon
- Experience or interest in pediatric settings and Early Childhood Special Education
- Ability to supervise SLPAs and collaborate with support staff
- Comfort working primarily onsite within local schools
- Open to travel professionals and Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) SLPs
