Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Work From Home | North Carolina
A contract opportunity is available for experienced speech-language pathologists licensed in North Carolina to provide telespeech services supporting students from Pre-K to 12th grade, with a focus primarily on K-5. The position covers approximately 37.5 hours per week over five days, beginning on August 6, 2026, for teachers and August 17, 2026, for students, and ending on June 2, 2027.
This role involves servicing a caseload of roughly 40-50 students across three schools and additional settings in the Burnsville, NC area. Therapy will be provided at multiple school sites as well as support for a private school student and a Head Start program. Utilization of a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is supported.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering speech therapy services to students with communication disorders
- Documenting therapy notes and progress in ECATS
- Completing all necessary paperwork and documentation for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- For students with Speech Impaired as the sole qualifying category, serving as case manager, which includes organizing, scheduling, and facilitating IEP meetings and ensuring compliance with all related procedural requirements
Qualifications and requirements:
- Current Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license valid in North Carolina
- Completion of the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Pre-K background check
- Experience working with school-age children and familiarity with special education processes
