Caseloads typically include up to 50 students each, with the potential to serve up to 53 if approved via waiver. By collaborating with fellow SLPs and school staff, you’ll play a key role in fostering communication skills critical to students’ confidence and academic success.
Qualifications and Experience Sought:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology with active CCC-SLP certification required
- State licensure (or eligibility) for West Virginia as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Proven experience providing therapy in a school or pediatric setting
- Skilled in IEP development, progress monitoring, and parent communication
- Adaptable approach—comfortable with multiple site assignments within close proximity
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech/language therapy to a diverse student caseload
- Conduct assessments and maintain accurate, timely documentation
- Develop, implement, and revise IEPs with measurable, individualized goals
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to generalize skills
