You’ll support students with diverse speech and language needs across multiple nearby school sites, collaborating closely with educational teams to develop personalized plans. This assignment runs from August 17, 2026, through June 10, 2027, with slight adjustments possible due to school calendar changes. The anticipated caseload is approximately 50 students, which may increase to 53 should a waiver be granted.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Active or eligible West Virginia SLP licensure
- Experience providing speech/language therapy in educational settings preferred
- Ability to manage a dynamic caseload and travel between grouped sites as needed
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaborative skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in alignment with IEP goals
- Deliver direct and consultative services to students, adapting as their needs evolve
- Maintain timely and accurate records, progress notes, and compliance documentation
- Offer consultation and support to teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Engage in IEP meetings and communicate progress with caregivers and staff
