Speech Language Pathologist in Richmond, TX
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students near Richmond, TX. This full-time, on-site position runs from August 11, 2026, through May 26, 2027. Help shape young communicators as you collaborate with middle or high school students across the Houston Area’s southwest side. School assignments are thoughtfully determined with your location in mind to ensure minimal commute and optimal work-life balance.
Ideal candidates bring expertise and enthusiasm to serve students in grades 6-8 or 10-12, according to preference. Your caseload will consist of approximately 50-60 students, providing a manageable yet diverse professional experience.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license in Texas (upload a clear image of licensure with application)
- Experience in school-based or pediatric SLP roles
- Up-to-date fingerprint clearance with the district, or ability to complete the requirement promptly
- Comfortable performing the full range of SLP responsibilities: assessments, therapy, ARD participation, documentation, and progress monitoring
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group speech therapy for middle or high school students
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations, write reports, and develop IEP goals
- Attend and participate in ARD meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain timely, accurate records and progress notes
