Qualifications:
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license required
- Previous experience in school-based SLP settings is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of individualized education program (IEP) development and documentation
- Ability to effectively engage with children across K-8 grade levels
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with educators, families, and support staff
- Commitment to cultural competence and inclusive practices
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders among K-8 students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address each student’s unique needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers and administrators, to optimize student outcomes
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Participate in and contribute to IEP meetings, parent conferences, and staff discussions
- Offer professional guidance to school staff regarding speech and language interventions
