Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred or Clinical Fellowship candidates considered
- Experience providing speech therapy services to pediatric populations within school or educational settings
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with staff and families
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students to determine speech, language, communication, and swallowing needs
- Develop and carry out individualized therapeutic interventions
- Document progress and maintain accurate student records as required by district and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise as part of the team
- Collaborate with teachers, aides, and parents to support generalization of skills into classroom and home
- Offer consultation and training to staff and families as needed
