Qualifications and Experience
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; clinical fellows considered
- Experience providing therapy to pediatric populations, preferably within school settings
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes and documentation requirements
- Effective communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families
- Commitment to evidence-based practices and ongoing professional growth
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs
- Conduct assessments, interpret results, and contribute to eligibility and planning meetings
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans, tracking progress and updating goals as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation and compliance with school and state guidelines
- Engage in professional development and keep current with best practices in school-based therapy
