School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Maine
We are looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a school team in Maine! This position is ideal for an SLP who enjoys working with students, collaborating with educational teams, and helping children develop meaningful communication skills. Experience supporting students who utilize AAC devices is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Provide speech and language services to students across the school setting.
- Create and implement therapy plans aligned with students’ IEP goals and individual needs.
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments as needed.
- Provide support to students who utilize AAC devices and other augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems.
- Partner with teachers, special education professionals, families, and other school staff to promote student progress.
- Help facilitate effective AAC use and communication across classroom and school environments.
- Complete required documentation, progress reports, and service records.
- Attend IEP meetings and participate in collaborative student planning.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Active Maine SLP license.
- ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP).
- School-based experience is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Prior experience with AAC devices and students who use alternative communication methods is strongly preferred.
