School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Job in Maine
We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to join a school in Maine! This is a great opportunity for an SLP who is passionate about helping students build communication skills and has experience working with AAC devices and communication systems.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to students in a school-based setting
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students’ IEP goals
- Evaluate students’ speech, language, and communication needs
- Support students who use AAC devices and other augmentative/alternative communication systems
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, families, and other members of the student support team
- Assist with AAC implementation, programming, and carryover across school environments as appropriate
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and compliance with school requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Maine SLP license
- ASHA Certification
- Previous school-based experience preferred but not required
- Experience with AAC devices, including evaluating and supporting students who rely on AAC, strongly preferred
