Qualifications and Experience Desired:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current or eligible Speech-Language Pathology license in New Mexico
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) applicants encouraged to apply
- Pediatric and school-based SLP experience preferred, but passionate new graduates are welcome
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation requirements
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to ethical practice and ongoing professional development
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and hearing screenings for K-12 students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on thorough assessments
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, providing input on students’ progress and goals
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and educational teams to promote student success
- Maintain detailed records in accordance with federal, state, and district guidelines
- Offer consultation and resources to staff and families to support language and communication development
