Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Hold current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in New Jersey.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; will consider Clinical Fellows.
- Experience or strong interest in pediatric speech therapy within a school setting.
- Solid communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to create and implement effective, individualized therapy plans aligned with educational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and provide therapy for students with speech, language, voice, or fluency disorders.
- Develop and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) based on student needs.
- Document progress, maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines, and participate in IEP meetings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support each student's educational and developmental growth.
- Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions; adapt techniques as necessary for virtual or in-person environments.
- Offer consultative support to education teams to maximize classroom integration for students with communication challenges.
