Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Hold or actively pursuing Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) OR be in your Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY)
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred, although strong new graduates are welcome to apply
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt therapy plans to meet the diverse needs of students
- Knowledge of IEPs and compliance, or willingness to train
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students’ speech, language, and communication skills using standardized and informal assessments
- Deliver speech-language therapy individually and in group settings, addressing articulation, fluency, language, and social communication needs
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Track student progress and maintain comprehensive documentation
- Consult with teachers, families, and support staff to promote student success
- Participate in eligibility, IEP, and parent meetings as required
- Stay current on best practices and school-based therapy trends
