Step into an impactful role supporting students as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2025/2026 school year in the Washington, DC area. You’ll work on a single campus, providing direct, in-person services (no virtual assignments) with a schedule from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity, offering the potential to continue making a meaningful difference in pediatric speech therapy beyond your initial contract term.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Prior experience delivering speech-language services to pediatric populations within a school setting
- Familiarity with IEP development, progress reporting, and a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach
- Active state licensure to practice as an SLP (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date)
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Availability for a full-time on-site position (no teletherapy assignments)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and deliver individualized speech-language therapy for students
- Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and staff
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and session documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute recommendations to support student success
- Communicate regularly with teachers, families, and other specialists
- Engage in ongoing professional development and school-based team activities
