School Speech Language Pathologist - Washington, District of Columbia

You’ll play an instrumental role helping students in PK 3 through grade 5 build the communication skills they need to thrive.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current, valid DC SLP License (requirement)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Prior experience providing services in a school-based setting
- Strong background in direct therapy and conducting bilingual assessments
- Enthusiastic, self-driven, and committed to student-centered care
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to elementary-aged students with a variety of communication needs
- Complete thorough, culturally competent bilingual assessments
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and comply with school guidelines
- Advocate for students’ needs and provide input on strategies for classroom success
Position Details:
- Contract position
- 1 opening available
- Approximately 10-15 hours per week
- Flexible schedule: set your days and hours to best fit your availability
- Service period: August 31, 2026, to June 18, 2026
- Manage a caseload of approximately 10 weekly service hours, working with students from PreK 3 to 5th grade
- All services provided at a single school site
