Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP license for the state of Arizona (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA required
- Experience in school settings strongly preferred
- Effective communication, organization, and documentation abilities
- Ability to adapt to diverse student needs and work effectively within an educational team
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) targeting each student’s specific speech and language needs
- Provide direct therapy services in individual and group settings
- Regularly consult with teachers, parents, and other support staff to ensure student progress and generalization of skills
- Engage in IEP meetings and support compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Maintain accurate records and data for all services provided
