School Speech Language Pathologist - Philipsburg, Pennsylvania
Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting the diverse communication needs of students across elementary, middle, and high school levels. Providing speech-language pathology services in a school setting near Philipsburg, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact across three buildings and work with students ranging from kindergarteners to high-schoolers.
As a dedicated SLP, you will manage a varied caseload consisting of 55 thirty-minute treatment sessions per week—16 individual and 37 group sessions. Collaboration with educators and families is essential, as you'll be instrumental in fostering student success and ensuring every child receives the support they need.
To succeed in this position, the following qualifications and skills are essential:
- Active Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate.
- Current Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Certificate.
- SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) credential.
- Previous experience in a K-12 school setting is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and caseload management skills.
- Ability to work across multiple sites efficiently.
In this role, you will:
- Deliver evidence-based speech, language, and communication interventions to a mixed K-12 student population.
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, documenting student progress thoroughly.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families regarding treatment goals and accommodations.
- Maintain required records and prepare reports in compliance with IEPs and educational guidelines.
- Adapt materials and therapeutic approaches to support students with diverse learning needs.
This contract position is for 35 hours per week, with the unique opportunity to make a lasting difference among students in three vibrant school communities. Flexibility is crucial, as notice will be given should a direct hire be selected per district requirements.
