Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathology license or eligibility
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFY) encouraged to apply
- Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in school or healthcare environments
- Familiarity with the IEP process and documentation requirements
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Comfortable providing both direct therapy and consultative services
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for K-12 students with speech, language, voice, or fluency disorders
- Deliver therapy individually or in small groups, adapting to each student’s unique needs
- Track student progress and maintain thorough, up-to-date records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating closely with teachers, other therapists, and families to develop comprehensive student plans
- Consult with school staff to provide strategies for classroom support and inclusive practices
- Engage in school activities as a supportive team member, focused on enhancing students’ communicative abilities and academic success
